Booths Pottery

Booths Pottery, founded in 1891 by Thomas Booth in Tunstall, Staffordshire, emerged during Britain’s golden age of ceramics. Known for its fine earthenware and elegant bone china, Booths quickly gained a reputation for combining artistry with functionality. The company’s designs, often inspired by classic English and Oriental patterns, graced the tables of middle- and upper-class households around the world.

In the early 20th century, Booths collaborated with leading designers and adopted cutting-edge techniques, such as lithographic transfers, to produce richly detailed yet affordable wares. Their "Silicon China" line was especially prized for its durability and fine finish. Booths became part of the Royal Doulton Group in the 1940s, further elevating its profile and ensuring the preservation of its classic styles.

Though production under the Booths name eventually ceased, its legacy endures among collectors and ceramic enthusiasts. Each piece tells a story of craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless British design — a testament to the artistry of Staffordshire’s historic pottery industry.
